Master Sheena Sutherland has competed in the sport for the past 34 years and was one of the first of four females promoted to black belt in the UK, reaching 1st Degree in 1977.

She runs the Master Sutherland Black Belt Academy in Bathgate (Scotland). Her club is also one of the most successful on the circuit, breeding world champions in the shape of Julia Cross and Brent Lyon.

The Master Sutherland Black Belt Academy held its annual awards night last month where Master Sutherland was presented with a collection of swords by Master Sandy Dunbar on behalf of Scotland's instructors to celebrate her eighth degree.

On behalf of all Taekwon-do practicioners in Europe we would like to congratulate Master Sutherland on her eight degree and wish her and her Black Belt Academy all the best and still more sports successes in the next future.
