On 9-10 December 2017 in “Arena Armeec” small sports hall, Sofia, Bulgaria Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do and Central Police Taekwon-Do Club together with the Sports Association of Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria organized „Sofia Open 2017“ Quadrathlon Taekwon-Do tournament. In the competition participated 306 athletes aged 6 years and above representing 29 clubs from Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova and Slovenia. The participants competed in the individual disciplines of Sparring, Pattern, Special Techniques and Power Test.
The Chief Umpire of the Tournament Hristiyan Tsankov managed 5 rings with 65 Umpires using BulScore wireless electronic system in all dojangs.
Mr. Chavdar Atanasov – Secretary General of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior officially opened the Competition.
Organizing Committee of the Competition would like to express sincere gratitude to the leaders of the guest clubs of Sofia Open 2017 – Mr. Vahid Drapic (TKD Klub Ahac Šentjur Slovenia), Mr. Konstantinos Gialamas (AC Aristotelis Kopanos Greece), Mr. Panagiotis Dimitriadis (Quadrathlon Naoussa Greece), Dimitrios (AC Analipsis Greece), Gheorge Ribacov (Activ Sport Club Moldova), Ivan Iliev (Spartan Sport Club Moldova)! Their participation in this event raised the level of the competition and we hope to meet them again in 2018.
