On December 17, the Sports Palace located in Minsk opened its doors for a huge number of sportsmen from Belarus and the near abroad. Over 800 Taekwon-Do athletes from 5 countries representing 25 clubs came to Minsk in order to find out which of them is more worthy of place on the pedestal.

The hall for 3 thousand seats was packed with athletes, their parents, friends and people who are interested in Taekwon-Do.

This year the 18th Christmas Cup was visited by athletes from the Russian Taekwon-Do Federation - Velikiye Luki, St. Petersburg, Moscow; guests from Poland - Combat Sports Academy; representatives of Latvia - clubs CHIN-GOO and VIKTORIJA-T, Riga; TAN-GUN and T.K.D., Jēkabpils; team of Ukraine - sports clubs "Pride" and "Dang Gong", Kharkov, sports clubs "Kichko", "Max Sport" and "True Way", Kiev.

Belarus was represented by: "ChU CHKHE", Minsk, "LITVIN" Minsk, Jaguar, Brest; "Sparta" and, of course, the organizers of the tournament, the host club of the competition - Taekwondo Sports Club Cascade, Minsk.

Fights were continued all day on seven stages. Boys and girls have come together in a serious struggle for medals and the right to be called the winner of the 18th Christmas Cup. Despite the high competition among athletes, there was friendly and welcoming atmosphere reigned in the hall. Trainers and athletes were happy to welcome old friends, even within the sparring. More than 200 sets of medals were played.

As a result of the tournament in the team event : the sports club Taekwon-Do "Cascade" has risen to the highest step of the pedestal;

The 2-nd place is left behind the club "Sparta", Minsk;

The third was the Belarusian public association of Taekwon-do.

We were pleased with the performance at the opening ceremony of the tournament of the best break-dancers of Belarus. All coaches were awarded memorable prizes. Officials announced new black belts and also wanted to note that the chairman of the Belarusian Taekwon-Do Association was awarded a certificate for V Dan.
