On Sunday November 19th ITF-Belgium organized its yearly ‘Day of Taekwon-Do’.
This time the venue was the ADEPS Sportscomplex in the city of Jambes, near Namur, in the southern part of Belgium.
The seminar was open to all members ITF-Belgium, all ages and grades, and all groups were represented: white, coloured as well as black belts, with the youngest participant only 4 years of age and the eldest over 50.
This year there were classes in fundamental movements & pattern, sambo-, ibo, ilbo matsogi and pre-arranged sparring, hosinsul and sparring.
After the warming-up the participants were divided into different groups according to their age and grade, they had 4 training sessions in a rotating system. The seminar ended with a general cooling-down.
Afterwards all participants received a certificate of participation.
During the seminar some of the black belts had the privilege to have a more individual training session with Master Frank Vanberghen (VIII°), to refine some patterns or to learn new ones.
The instructors conducting the regular sessions of the day: Annick Van Driessche (VI°), Virginia Dionisi (VI°), Eddy Van Damme (VI°), Patrick Crevecoeur (V°), Tom Van De Sijpe (IV°), Stefan Hendrickx (IV°), Erik Van Hoeck (II°), Esther Meulemeester (II°) and Terrence Bewa (I°).
For the instructors it was nice to share the passion of our martial art with the participants, who showed great motivation and dedication.
With kind regards,
Annick
