Newsletter Newsletter 4/2017 Seminar with Marcelo Bordiez in Belgium

Sunday October 22nd Sabum Marcelo Bordiez (VI°degree, one of the coaches of team Argentina) and his daughter, who is member of the national team and who competed on the World Championships in Dublin, gave a seminar in Belgium.

Sabum Virginia Dionisi, Gonzalo Escribano Tejerina and ITF Brussels, in cooperation with Pablo Pascuzzo, invited them to Woluwe (near Brussels). After the World Championships in Ireland Sabum Marcelo and his daughter were still in Europe, and they agreed to come over to Belgium for a seminar.

Two years ago, after the WC in Jesolo, Sabum Marcelo already conducted a splendid seminar in Belgium, so the members of ITF-Belgium were looking forward to another great training session with the Argentinian coach.

It was a great seminar, with a focus on mobility, accelarations and moving in nowadays ITF sparring. Marcelo Bordiez gave some really great exercises.

His vision on sparring is really good, and he's teaching in a very nice, warm and friendly way, always being positive, motivating the participants the whole time.

The seminar consisted of 2 sessions. The first one was open to all ages and grades, with exercises suitable for children and beginners. It was obvious that Sabum Marcelo is really good in working with children.

The second session was only open to participants of 14 and over, with more advanced exercises.

On the seminar in Woluwe (venue Sports City) were 70 participants from nearly all schools affiliated to ITF-Belgium, with also some participants from abroad (GD Luxembourg and The Netherlands).
