“Lulin” Cup 2017 Report

On 13-14 May 2017 in “Lulin” Sports Center, Sofia city, Bulgaria was held the X Regional Quadrathlon Taekwon-Do Open Championship for “Lulin” Cup. Coorganizers of the event were Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Central Police Taekwon-Do Club, Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do.

Official guest to the competition were Mr. Ivan Mladenov – Secretary General of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior. On the opening ceremeony attractive demonstration was performend by the practitioners in Lulin district leaded by the instructors Nikola Iliev and Bilyana Nikiforova.

The competitors were divided in groups of children (6-11 years), cadets (12-13 years). 227 competitors from 21 clubs participated in the individual and team disciplines: Pattern, Sparring, Special Tecnique and Power Test.

The Chairman of the umpire committee Mr. Hriatiyan Tsankov - managed a team of 45 umpires in 5 rings for the 2 days covered by the wireless version of Bulscore (the Bulgarian scoring system). Awards for best complex competitors (quadrathlonists) for each age and gender division were given and the winning places were decided according to collected points from the different disciplines and the Overall winners were determined by the points of all competitors.

Girls 8-9 years – Anzhela Ivanova - CPTC “97 School” - 30 points;
Boys 10-11 years – Kristian Krastev - CPTC “97 School” - 40 points;
Girls 10-11 years – Antonia Ganeva - NSU “Sofia” - 38 points;
Cadet Male 12-13 years – Stefan Nikolov – TC “Levski” - 40 points;
Cadet Female 12-13 years – Vasilena Apostolova - NSU “Sofia” - 38 points;

Winners of X Regional Quadrathlon Taekwon-Do Open Championship for “Lulin” Cup

  1. NSU “Sofia” – 922 points.
  2. CPTC “97 School” – 915 points;
  3. TC Levski “61 School” – 557 points.
