Grand Master Donato Nardizzi has launched a fundraising event called the Mega-Kickathon in order to raise money for the victims of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire in London where at least 80 people have died. Six of his students from the Kensington Taekwon-Do schools lived in the tower block. Five children were training in his children’s class just hours before the fire. Sadly, four of the children died and the girl who survived, Tasnim aged 6, has lost her whole family. She is now in need of a lot of support so the Mega-Kickathon will try to raise as much money to help secure her future.
The only other surviving student was 24 year old Shekeb Neda who is a black belt and has competed for England. He showed incredible indomitable spirit by carrying his mother to safety from the top floor.
Grand Master Nardizzi has posted a video on YouTube to advertise the event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CU7kiUL_M8
Tasnim aged 6 needs has lost her family but Grand Master Nardizzi is calling on her Taekwon-Do family worldwide to help her.
The participants of this fundraising event have to perform 1000 kicks and donate GBP £10 (or equivalent in other currency). The aim is to reach 1 million kicks or more. The event can be hosted in your own dojang.
