Newsletter Newsletter 2/2017 Open Challenge Cup Belgium

The crew of the club Chon-ji organised the Open Challenge Cup in cooperation with the ITF-Belgium Umpire and Tournament Committee. The competition was open to coloured and black belts, with competition in tul, sparring and special techniques. There were categories for youth, juniors and seniors, with also kids sparring for the youngest practitioners (3-7).

11 clubs were present, 110 competitors from ITF-Belgium and GD Luxembourg, and in the presence of one Dutch gym.

With 30 umpires and 25 volunteers working hard during the day the competition ran very smoothly.

The competition was organised in one of the newest sport centres of the region, Arena Edugo, a sports hall that was build recently especially for VDK Ghent, a volleyball team playing in First division.
