On the 27th of January, the Israeli Taekwon-Do ITF had the honor to host one of the best instructors, Poland's legendary coach, Master Jerzy Jedut (8th degree).
Responsible for bringing him was Sabum-Nim Leonardo Oros-Duek (6th degree), Secretary General of the Israeli Association of Traditional Taekwon-Do ITF.
Master Jedut arrived on Friday morning so we had the pleasure of training already on his first day in the country.
On Friday afternoon, February 27th, the first course for colored belts was held in the Dahari Sports hall in the city of Yokneam, where 70 ITF students gathered for a course of about 3 hours. The course also attended by Sabum-Nim Mario Cosacow and Sabum-Nim Sergei Harchenko.
After a few words began the course with dozens of warm-up exercises and challenges, leaving everyone sweaty but smiling. The focus was on movement for sparring, and having gone over a number of techniques and agility exercises, two hours passed really quickly. At the end of the day everyone gathered for a group photo.
On Saturday, January 28th, the course was held in the community centre of Zichron Ya'akov, intended for black belts only. Master Jedut decided to start the course with all sorts of agility games in order to begin with a smile.
He continued by teaching his Methodology of movement and demonstrated a variety of options and modes, as well as some additional exercises, finished with a number of bouts. All throughout giving a lot of tips to improve proper movement.
The approach and enthusiasm of Master, along with efforts to reach and correct each participant, kept everyone's attention.
On Sunday, January 29th, a lunch was organized in Tel Aviv - The heart of Israel, along with the lawyer Efraim Barak, who is working together with the ITF. The meeting was very good. Then, the party had time to wander in the city and to take pictures. Master Jedut enjoyed the pleasant hospitality and expressed his desire to return and see more of our beautiful country. On the next day Master Jedut returned to Poland.
We would like to thank Master Jerzy Jedut for coming and taking the time to share with us his unique methodology for Taekwon-Do.
