Seminar with Master Jedut in Russia

From 17th to 18th September 2016 in Moscow, Russia Master Jerzy Jedut - 8th Degree, conducted the educational seminar on the invitation of All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation, Around 340 participants took part in the seminar starting from young adepts to adult competitors and instructors, from the lowest degrees to the black belt degrees and finally entitled competitors, also the members of the Russia National Team.

The seminar was divided into three parts.
On Saturday morning took place the first part. The main subject of it were the warming up exercises as well as exercises building coordination skills, speed, strength, done individual and in pairs as well as exercises with tools. There was no time for rest during this part. The activity of participants was high, their commitment full and atmosphere so nice that the attendees hardly noticed that the first part came to an end.

The second, afternoon session referred to the sparring drills for beginners. It was subjected to the teaching methodology of the free sparring. A large fragment of the drills were movement exercises in free sparring. This part was treated very precisely and step by step. The main aim was to demonstrate how to teach the adepts of different age and different technical level the movement in the space of the sparring field. The level was very high but clearly varied. The experienced competitors performed the exercises well, a large part of attendees was prepared enough to learn those elements. But there was also a group of young people, for whom even simple drills made many difficulties. The most important was the commitment and wish to learn of all participants.

On Saturday evening Master Jedut had an opportunity to sightseeing the Moscow city. 9 years has passed since his last visit in the capital of Russia. The city has changed a lot over those years. The evening resulted in many pictures as well as many nice impressions.

The third part of the seminar started on Sunday morning. At the beginning the participants practised mostly the hand techniques both at the spot but also in the movement to the side/ forward/backward and in all directions. The techniques were performed individually, in pairs and in groups. Next Master Jedut asked the attendees to perform basic foot combinations, frequently preceded with learning of faint movement, with emphasis on changing the rhythm trough the change of distance and speed. During this part the participants started from simple hand combinations to more advanced drills on pads again in the movement forwards, backward, to the site, with the change of pace, speed and distance. Despite of the fact that there was not much time left, at the end of the seminar Master Jedut succeeded to do some exercises in the form of task-oriented free sparring. To the very end of the seminar all the attendees, despite huge difference in their skills, showed their extraordinary diligence and fully cooperated with seminar leader. Frequently those with bigger experience, practised exemplary, setting an example to younger students with lower practise and helping them.

Each part of the seminar was finished with a relaxation part, which contained many exercises causing smile but also with the aim to calm the participants.

It looks like the seminar finished with a great success, not only because of the great number of participants, their high commitment or the large number of exercises performed during each part, but also because the seminar was very well organized. Therefore the special thanks should go to All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation and especially to Master Lazaros Tsilfiids, ARTF President.
