PTA Course for Taekwon-Do Instructors

In the term 16th to 25th September 2016 in Lublin took place 10-days long course for Taekwon-Do Instructors organized by Polish Taekwon-Do Association. The course was organized based on the art. 41 (section VIII – Professional qualifications in sport) of the act of sport dated 25th June 2010 (Journal of Law 2010 no 127 pos. 857 as amended).

46 candidates took part in the course, all of them finished it with positive results.

The participants enlisted for the course from 24 different schools. The biggest representation (6 candidates) enrolled from Wroclawski Sportowy Klub Taekwon-Do.

Polish Taekwon-Do Association always takes care to choose possibly the best educational and scientific staff, whose knowledge, professional and educational experience could contribute as much as possible in to the preparation process of the new Taekwon-Do teaching staff.

Among the lecturers were:
Prof. Roman M. Kalina, Ph.D., D.Sc., specialist of science of physical culture, didactic employer of Sport Department of the University of Physical Education and Sports, Gdańsk, Poland, author of over 300 publications among them 25 monographies. Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of „Archives of Budo”

Jacek Wasik, Ph.D. Prof. of Institute of Physical Education in Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa, 4th Degeree. Prof. Wąsik is a doctor of physical science and post-doctoral of physical culture science. He specialized himself in biomechanics of martial arts. He is author of several dozen articles Publisher in prestigious scientific journals of international range, master class coach and head instructor in Czestochowska Akademia Taekwon-Do. He has trained many competitors with individual senior and junior World Champion titles who were the members of Polish National Team.

Zbigniew Bujak, Ph.D. Academy of Physical Education, Warsaw, External Department of Physical Education, Biala Podlaska, VIII Degree, the PTA Vice-President and the AETF Chairman of Scientific Research Committee;

Marcin Kochanowski, Ph.D. in psychology, academic lecturer and a practitioner in sport psychology. He was cooperating with National Teams, participants of the European and World Championships as well as Paralympics in London. Certified sport psychologist of Polish Psychology Society as well as the psychologist of Polish Olympic Committee.

Tomasz Wnuk, MD – specialist in orthopaedics, traumatology and radiology.

Jerzy Jedut, 8th Degree, M.Sc – President of Polish Taekwon-Do Association.

Tadeusz Łoboda, 8th Degree, M.Sc – Vice-President of Polish Taekwon-Do Association

Krzysztof Pawlik, 4th Degree, M.Sc – former Vice-President of Polish Taekwon-Do Association for umpire matters

Małgorzata Łoboda, M.Sc. – PTA financial specialist

Anna Stasiak, M.Sc. - PTA Chief accountant

Justyna Michalak, M.Sc. – Physiotherapist

Donato Nardizzi, VIII Dan – Chairman of the ITF Children Development Committee.

The participants of the course received very reach educational materials on the subject of their future profession as well as few essential books.

The course finished with an official writing exam. Finally, Master Loboda granted each participant with the official testimony in professional qualifications as instructors.

Despite the fact that the course attendees complained on the high intensity of activates during the course, all of them underlined the professional and highly educated teaching staff as well as reach educational material.

Polish Taekwon-Do Association would like to wish all new instructors to use the newly gained knowledge in an effective way in practice as well as to educate the next generation of unique adepts.
