On October 8-9, 2016 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine was held the traditional tournament entitled: IVANO-FRANKIVSK OPEN.

In the competition took part 200 athletes from Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Uzhgorod cities. The competition was run in two categories: sparring and patterns.

The main aim of the competition was to involve children and youth in sport and a sportive way of life as well as to develop Taekwon-Do ITF in Ukraine.

The organizer of the competition was Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center, "All Ukrainian Taekwon-do Union" and the department of sports of Ivano-Frankivsk.

Mr. Ruslan Martsinkiv, the Major of Ivano-Frankivsk city, who was the honoured guest of the competition, underlined that the event was organized in a very professional way.
