On 23-24 April 2016 in “Lulin” Sports Center, Sofia city, Bulgaria was held the IX Regional Quadrathlon Taekwon-Do Open Championship for “Lulin” Cup. Coorganizers of the event were Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Central Police Taekwon-Do Club, Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do.

Official guests to the competition were Mr. Ivan Mladenov – Secretary General of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Professor Svetoslav Ivanov – President of Bulgarian Union for Physical Culture and Sports, Mr Yuriy Andzhekarski – President of Professional Forum of Education in Bulgaria.

On the opening ceremeony attractive demonstration was performend by the practitioners in Lulin district leaded by the instructors Nikola Iliev and Bilyana Nikiforova.

The competitors were divided in groups of children (6-13 years), juniors (14-17 years) and seniors (18+ years). 297 competitors from 26 clubs participated in the individual disciplines: Pattern, Sparring, Special Tecnique and Power Test.

The Chairman of the umpire committee Mr. Hriatiyan Tsankov - managed a team of 60 umpires in 5 rings for the 2 days covered by the wireless version of Bulscore (the Bulgarian scoring system). Awards for best complex competitors (quadrathlonists) for each age and gender division were given and the winning places were decided according to collected points from the different disciplines and the Overall winners were determined by the points of all competitors.

1. CPTC “97 School” – 23 gold, 22 silver, 15 bronze;
2. NSOU “Sofia” – 14 gold, 14 silver, 18 bronze;
3. TC Levski “61 School” – 13 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze.

Juniors (14-17 years)
1. NSOU “Sofia” – 6 gold, 3 silver, 0 bronze;
2. TC CSKA “128 School” – 5 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze;
3. CPTC “97 School” – 3 gold, 5 silver, 6 bronze.

Seniors (18+ years)
1. CPTC “97 School” – 3 gold, 3 silver, 0 bronze;
2. CPTC “137 School” – 3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze;
3. TC CSKA “128 School” – 2 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze.
