On the 15-17th of April in Kirovograd city was held the 9th All Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Juniors Championship.

In the competition took part about 300 athletes from nine regions of Ukraine: Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhya, Uzhghorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Kirovograd, Kharkiv, Chernihiv. The competition was divided into two divisions :"A" and "B". Athletes from 7 till 14 years competed in sparring and tul, individual and command.

"The competition showed that Taekwon-Do in Ukraine is becoming more popular and massive and that everyone can practice Taekwon-Do not depending on age, physique or social status" - said Mr. Valentyn Zorba - the President of All Ukraininan Taekwon-Do Union. "In this competition took part the newbie athletes as well as the athletes with titles. Sportsmen showed their skills and their will to win."

"It is very pleasant that our invitation to this competition took the other Taekwon-Do organizations, which also develop TKD in Ukraine. I think that in hard times for Ukrainians joint effort will help us to grow healthy nation, youth and all society in general" added Valentyn Zorba.

"The judging panel was the most objective and coped good with the tasks. - said Iryna Kuznetsova - the heading judge of the competition. The event was on a high level, all the participants showed good discipline and mutual respect on doyang. From the childhood we teach our students the principles of Taekwon-Do, which are related to principles of our lives. And such competitions are kind of symbolic test on their live way" - said Kuznetsova Iryna.
