It is with great pleasure that Black Eagle Taekwon-Do hosted for the second time Mr Jaroslaw Suska's seminar in Finland. Just a month and a half before the upcoming European Championships.
We had 77 participants from all around Finland ranking from 8 gup to 4th dan with over 35 black belts attending.
On Saturday, Mr Suska focused on some kicking drills and leg reinforcement, followed by color belt patterns in the afternoon. On Saturday evening, Mr Suska conducted a pattern session for 6 lucky national team members who after a full day were still eager to learn from the multiple champion. He focused a lot on the sine wave as well as the relaxation and final acceleration. But most importantly the rythmic and fluidity of the pattern performance.
After that hard day, Mr Suska experienced the tradiotnal Finnish Sauna and "avanto" (ice swimming) and believe it or not he enjoyed it very much.
Sunday morning was all about sparring with extremely efficient and useful tip and training drills. Showing that his skills involve all aspects of Taekwon-Do. The afternoon was about Black Belt patterns and again the rhythmic was really emphasized.
That seminar was a great tool for members who are selected to the national team as it offered them a outsider's eye to their technique.
This experience definitely will be renewed. Until then, thank you to all who attended and most of all to Mr Suska for sharing his experience and inspiring techniques.
