Polish Taekwon-Do Association with pride informs that on 19th November 2015 Mr. Konrad Raczkowski was nominated by Polish Prime Minister, Mrs. Beata Szydlo, for the eminent position of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland.

Mr. Raczkowski is a holder of 4th Degree black belt, which he gained on 24th June 2007. He started practicing Taekwon-Do in September 1992 in the club TSC “So-San” Białystok. He is an apprentice of Master Wojciech Zdanuczyk. He has been perfecting his skills also in England by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, one of the first Taekwon-Do instructors in the world. In 2005 he finished the Taekwon-Do instructor’s course and received the professional qualifications in this sport. In 2009 he completed the course and the post-graduated studies for second grade coach in Taekwon-Do.

Mr. Konrad Raczkowski holds the title of Professor of the Institute of Economics at the University of Social Sciences in Warsaw in the management of public institutions. His fields of specialization are management in the economic system, public finances and the shadow economy. Since 2012 Mr. Raczkowski held the position of director of the above mentioned institute and was the head of the Economic Security Management Department. In 2015 he became a member of President’s of Poland National Development Council.

He served as an expert and advisor to public institutions, business organizations and enterprises. From 2003 to 2013 Mr. Raczkowski worked in the Ministry of Finance. He cooperated with the European Anti-Fraud Office in Brussels and the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm. He is a regular member of the British Academy of Management and since three years he leads workshops in the fields of financial irregularities and tax gap in the world economy at the Cambridge University. It must be noted that Professor Konrad Raczkowski belongs to the world class economy researchers in the field of the shadow economy and that the comparative econometric methodology of the tax gap he elaborated is the first research of such type in the world.

He is the author of approx. one hundred scientific publications in the field of finance, economics and management sciences.

Election to this prestigious and responsible position is a great honour as well as the expression of appreciation of the accomplishments, professional achievements and experience of Mr. Konrad Raczkowski. We hope that the nomination will also contribute to the promotion of Taekwon-Do in the new environment.
