The annual “The First Boxing Gloves 2016” Tournament for Taekwon-Do beginners took place on 6th February 2016 in Minsk, Belarus.

The athletes from 6 to 17 years of age were able to demonstrate their skills on four tatami floors. The total number of the event participants came up to 406 with 120 medal sets contested in sparring and patterns divisions.

The tournament has given young athletes invaluable experience, as well as the strong desire to train harder and take more purposeful approach to sports.

“The First Boxing Gloves” Tournament is the beginning of the long path of struggle. I wish all the young athletes to have patience, firmness and many victories on their path.
