Israel was selected by the President of the ITF Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg to introduce officially the Harmony Program.
The reunion was on the 29th of January 2016 in the city Zichron Ya'akov with people from the municipality and the community centre. The delegations from nine countries came to Israle to participate in the course: Nepal, Uzbekistan, Belgium, France, Norway, Poland, Russia, Italy and the hosting country Israel.
Special guests of the First Harmony course were: Grand Master Willem Jacob Bos, 9th Degree Masters Frank Vanberghen, Jerzy Jedut and Ray Nicholaisen – 8th Degree and Masters Gennadi Han and Lazaros Tsilfidis - 7th Degree.
The course has begun with an explication of why it was established. The Harmony program was created in order to get knowledge how to teach Taekwon-Do among older people. Afterwards the participants practiced the theory. Then the attendees had a class with Grand Master Bos. The course was a big promise for the future of the Harmony Program.
In the evening the Israeli Taekwon-Do celebrates a gala night for the guests from abroad who were enjoying nice moments. Grand Master Trajtenberg has received a Menorah, the Jewish symbol that appears in the logo of the Israel Traditional Taekwon-Do Association ITF.
Afterwards Mr. Efraim Barak, the legal Adviser of the ITF & AETF, who has helped the Israel Association very much, received an honorary black belt diploma.
Grand Master Trajtenberg on his first visit to Israel visited the Parliament together with Master Tsilfidis and the members of ITF Israel: Danny Roth, Leonardo Oros Duek and Luis Sajnovetzky.
The Grand Master visited the Wingate Institute where he was received by Krav Maga 10th Degree Avi Abecedon, head of Martial Arts in Wingate. The Grand Masters agreed to co-operate in the future.
On Saturday the 30th January, ITF Israel has invited all the members for a tour to Jerusalem, which was a unique experience.
The Israel Traditional Taekwon-Do Association ITF would like to express their thanks to everyone who supported the organization of the first Harmony course. Especially appreciation goes to our President, Grand Master Trajtenberg. The Israeli Taekwon-Do is already planning to implement the Harmony program with the local elders.
Yours sincerely,
