1st World Congress on Health and Martial Art

From 17 to 19th September 2015 in Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa, Poland took place the 1st World Congress on Health and Martial Arts in Interdisciplinary Approach.

The main organizer and the member of the Scientific Committee of the conference was Professor Jacek Wąsik from Poland, the member of the All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation Scientific Research Committee.

The subject of the conference was the discussion on the scientific grounds of use of martial arts elements in the health prevention, in the rehabilitation as well as in forming of a healthy life style among adults, children and youth.

In the Congress took part representatives of Brasil, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Russia, Spain, Ukraine, USA and Poland.

The participants had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with practical use of martial arts’ elements in different therapeutic context during the workshops and demonstrations held within the conference.

Unique and not published earlier lectures and posters of outstanding specialists and scientists from a few continents, who took part in the conference, will be available in the prestigious scientific magazine Archives of Budo (IF=1,238).

The lectures about Taekwon-Do were presented by the mentioned earlier Prof. Jacek Wasik, but also by Doc. Ph. D. Zbigniew Bujak, 7th Degree from Biała Podlaska and many others.
