Newsletter 1/2015 Holland Cup Update
It’s almost time! Final preparations are underway for the 6th edition of the Holland Cup in Pijnacker (close to Delft), the Netherlands, on April 11th and 12th. This edition is very special, since the tournament coincides with Taekwon-Do’s 60th birthday. To celebrate this we will organize an international team event on Sunday where world-class competitors from England will face competitors from the Netherlands. We hope to see many familiar faces and audience on this day. Of course, this will be a small event to facilitate a timely tournament day on Sunday. However, this will be the perfect event to see top-level Taekwon-Do in the Netherlands.
On Saturday evening we will again organize an afterparty. This will be in our gym (van Lodensteynstraat 114, Delft) and accessible for junior and senior competitors for free. For a small fee, spectators can also visit the afterparty. Again, we hope to greet many competitors, coaches, umpires and spectators to socialize in a casual manner.
The first entries into the Holland Cup are already arriving. This year, a record number of countries will be present at the Holland Cup. We are expecting: Belgium, Italy, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Japan, Spain, France, Norway, Finland, Nepal, Russia, Sweden, and of course the Netherlands. With these countries, many (former) European- and World champions will be present, guaranteeing a high level of Taekwon-Do at our tournament.
If you have family, friends or others who would like to see your tournament, but for some reason cannot be present to cheer you on? Then we have an additional special item! We will offer free livestream from all the bouts on the centre area. We will reveal the final details about this one week in advance of the tournament. This way, even more people can enjoy our fantastic art.
