Newsletter 1/2015 VII Levski Cup
On 21-22 February 2015 in “Eng. Yanko Yankov” Sports Hall, Elin Pelin city, Bulgaria under the patronage of the Mayor of Elin Pelin Municipality Mr. Yordan Yordanov, was held the VII Quadrathlon Taekwon-Do Open Championship for “Levski” Cup. The event organized by Taekwon-Do Club “Levski”, Sports Club “Levski”, Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Central Police Taekwon-Do Club, Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do and the Municipality of Elin Pelin.
Official guests to the competition were Mr. Ivan Mladenov – Secretary General of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Dimitrina Simeonova and Mrs. Liliya Dimitrova – representatives of Elin Pelin Municipality.
A total number of 241 competitors from 25 clubs participated in the individual disciplines: Pattern, Sparring, Special Tecnique and Power Test, and were divided in the groups of children (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 years), juniors (14-17 years) and seniors (18+ years). The competition was supported by 50 Umpires team for the 2 days leaded by Mr. Vencislav Ignatov which were very satisfied from the use of the updated wireless version of the Bulgarian scoring system BulScore.
For second consecutive year the Competition was live broadcasted on the website of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior with more.
For the first time were given awards for best complex competitors for each age and gender division according to collected points from the different disciplines and the Overall winners were determined by the points of all competitors.
