Master Jedut's visit in Israel

On February 6th, Taekwon-Do ITF in Israel had to honor to welcome one of the greatest coaches, Poland's legendary Master Jerzy Jedut (7th degree).

In charge of bringing him to us was Sabum-Nim Leonardo Oros Duek (6th degree), General Secretary of the Israel Traditional Taekwon-Do ITF Association.

Master Jedut arrived on Friday afternoon and thus enjoyed a delightful Friday evening dinner.

Coming straight from the middle of winter with Poland's -10 degrees temperature, Master Jedut had enjoyed Saturday in the old port city of Acres with Sabum-Nim Leonardo and Sabum-Nim Danny Roth, President of the Israel Traditional Taekwon-Do ITF Association, at almost 30 degrees Celsius!

In the afternoon of Sunday the 8th February, in the Dahari Sports Hall in the town of Yoqneam, gathered 70 ITF students for a five hours course - two for color belts and three hours for black belts. Also present were Sabum-Nim Mario Cosacow and Sabum-Nim Sergei Harchenko.

After a few words the course began with dozens of warm-up exercises and challenges, leaving everyone sweating and smiling.

Passing over a few patterns, self defence and a few more drills, two hours have passed too quickly. Before continuing the next part of the course everyone joined in for a group picture.

On the second part dedicated to more advanced students, Master Jedut has taught his methodology of movement for sparring, demonstrating a variety of options and scenarios, along with a few extra drills, and of course a game to cheerfully end the course. The Master's approach and enthusiasm, together with his attempts to reach and correct everybody, kept everyone's attention despite the language's barrier for some attendees.

On the next day the organizers arranged a meeting and lunch in Tel Aviv - the heart of Israel with the lawyer Mr. Efraim Barak, who has worked with the ITF. The meeting went very well. After that, they enjoyed a free time while walking around the city and taking some photos.

On Tuesday February the 10th, the second part of the course took place in the Hazon Ya'akov gym in Ashdod. This time the seminar was hosted by Sabum-Nim Luis Sajnovetzky.

The students were just as thrilled to learn and practice under the Master. The course had the same format as at the first day. When closing the seminar Master Jedut thanked everyone for coming and received a gift and a souvenir from the course and Israel.

Afterwards, he was taken to dinner in a steakhouse, carefully chosen by the post-Argentinian hosts.

Master Jedut was enjoying the kind hospitality and expressed his desire to come back and see more of our beautiful country.

On the following day Master Jedut returned to Poland, stopping for more work at Slovakia. We wish to thank Master Jerzy Jedut for giving us his time and sharing his unique teaching methodology with us.
