When the tournament starts there wee 630 competitors from 18 different country’s! Organizers Mr. Henny van Zon and Master Willy van de Mortel were proud on this. This Open Dutch in the same location as last year in Best, close to Eindhoven with a beautiful sports hall “Naestebest”.
The head referee Master Coos van den Heuvel together with Ron Dijkhuizen where leading more then 80 referee’s over the 10 area’s! Further a warm welcome to our special guests, GM Wim Bos from Italy, Master Per Andresen from Norway and many other Masters where present!
After the opening speech GM Wim Bos gives the 8th Degree certificate to Master Coos van den Heuvel from his grading at the IIC in Treviso November 2014.
We invited AETF reporter Norbert Erseki from Hungary to come over and have the possibility’s to do some interviews and reports during the weekend.
Competitors from Belgium, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland, Suisse, England, Sweden, Poland, Spain, Luxemburg, France, Nepal, Uzbekistan and Netherlands. There were competitors from National, European and World level present at this competition.
This year we had the chance to use on two squares a new wireless electronic system. Master Harry Vones from Germany came over with his system to use it at this tournament. And so to have the chance to develop it, and to found out the reactions of umpires for example. But also for most of the umpires it was their first time working with this equipment, that results in a slow start of the tournament! All draws where a couple of day’s before the tournament starts already online and coaches and competitors could print them out.
Good matches in Tuls with great competition between competitors from Italy, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, France and the Netherlands.
In sparring Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Norway, Poland, Ireland and the Netherlands fought for the titles.
In 4th till 6th Degree Female pattern the final was between Silvia Farigu from Italy and Carly Wilson from England with Silvia took the gold. Maxine Pura from the Netherlands took the 3rd place. In 4th till 6th Degree Male pattern the final was between Lylian Doulay from France and Mikhail Vorontsov from Italy with Lylian as the winner. The same as last year! From Italy Massimo Persia became 3rd.
In the junior male divisions where winners as Alen Preloznik from Slovenia Luke McGrath from Ireland. Amin Al Rmadan from Germany and best junior of the tournament same as last year Michael McRoberts from Scotland. He won pattern as sparring like last year! In the female divisions we got winners from different country’s Norway, Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands.
In the female sparring we saw national team members from their country’s winning the divisions. Like Asmara Pattipeiluhu from Netherlands, Sarah Lehane from Ireland, Hannah Withaker from England, and Nina Meppelder from the Netherlands.
In -57 kg was it Jamie Williams from Ireland who won the final from Joshua Wadey from England. Italian Tiziano Trimboli took 3rd place. In -63 kg male was the final between Italian Simone Oliva and Domen Kugl from Slovenia who took silver, 3rd place was for Boonyarit The Chaiyong from the Netherlands. The division -70 kg was a very strong one with a very high standard, winner in the final was Nejc Gazvoda from Slovenia. He beat in the final from the local club Brian v/d Brand. In the -78 kg was it from Norway Ludvig Saele who won from Francesco Milli from Italy. Tim Kool -85 kg from the Netherlands stays in the final against Mats Myrland Olsen from Norway and took the 1st place. The +85 kg final was a Polish final between Mateusz Kaminski who won the final over Mateusz Mroz.
There was this time a area where several martial arts suppliers has a stand, as Top Ten, Mightfist, Nikko but also Black Belt program from Lukas Grygel. For the first time the stand from Print Station where you could get your photo for example on all gadgets etc.
The winners in the A class sparring and Tul got all a T-shirt from the competition.
The new form of team-sparring whas interesting, fast & exiting till the last moment! Best male team senior was Puma wo beat Team West Norway in the final. Best female team senior was Koguryo wo beat Difesa Sports, both Netherlands. Junior male team winner was ASD FITAE Italy they won from Difesa Sports Netherlands.
Strong country’s were Italy, Ireland, Slovenia, Germany, Finland, Norway and Netherlands.
