Today, on 12th January 2015 is the 5th anniversary of the death of GM Trân Triêu Quân, the ITF President in the years 2003-2010, who passed away tragically during the earthquake in Haiti.
We remember him as a real Taekwon-Do Master, a good leader and a visionary.
The strategy of our organization created by him is still valid and determines the directions of our development until today.
He was extremely hard-working person, who was active in the areas which people usually do not like so much, e.g.: creation of programs, plans or strategies. He wrote many philosophical essays and messages; some of which are available and can be read here:

He knew how to listen to the people regardless of their experience or knowledge, despite the fact the he himself was hardly struck by the fate and the reality of life. He really enjoyed life and he strongly underlined the meaning of his great family, which was always supporting him.
GM Trân believed that a democratic system of management is the best for the International Taekwon-Do Federation, what gave the foundation for its very dynamic development. As a great advocate of this idea he believed that only democracy will ensure the growth of the organization and its survival for the future generations. He always followed the rules that the ITF belongs to its members and has to work for its members and with them to ensure the support they need and expect.
The Taekwon-Do society worldwide will be always thankful for his contribution in the development of our organization and its members.
On that special day our thoughts go to him and his family and friends.
