On December 8, 2014 in Arena Armeec Sports Hall, Sofia was held the XXII National Christmas Tournament “Sports – accessible for all Children” organized by Bulgarian Sports Federation for Children Deprived of Parental Care. This is an annual event which involves children from orphanages from all over Bulgaria to participate in different sports competitions. The Competition was officially opened by Mr. Kalin Kamenov – Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and part of the opening ceremony was Taekwon-Do demonstration performed by children.
In this year’s Tournament Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do offered open short training sessions for the participants and organized special competition in the disciplines of Special Techniques and Power Test for the orphans. The Taekwon-Do section of the event was very well accepted by the participants an there were always crowded around the competition machines. It is very impressive to note that some of the participants, with absolutely no previous knowledge Taekwon-Do Special Techniques, had successful kicks in height more than 250 cm.
