Tambov (Russian: Тамбовis) is a city and the administrative center of Tambov Oblast, Russia, located at the confluence of the Tsna and Studenets Rivers, about 480 kilometers (300 mi) south-southeast of Moscow.

Tambov is the city that hosted the 47th IIC on from 4th to 6th September 2009. The news about that event was published on AETF website and can be find here: http://itfeurope.org/NL2009-03-22.html. This year on the 22nd November 2014 the city organized the Tambov Open tournament with 300 participants from 11 districts of Russia.

All umpires were selected and invited by the all Russian Taekwon-Do Federation. The head of the Umpire Committee was Gromov Yuriy. The Tambov Open was organized by Mr. Kim Andrey, the President of Tambov District Taekwon-Do Federation.

Special Guests of the tournament were Master Lazaros Tsilfidis, the President of All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation and Mr. Michail Victorovich Belousov, the Head of Sport and Physical Committee of Tambov district.
