On Saturday 6th December 2014 in the Palau d´sports L´illa of Benidorm, Benidorm (Alicante) took place the Spain Cup 2014.

All the delegations from throughout the country arrived during the day on Friday 5th December 2014, where they were received by the organizing committee in the Salon Puig Campana of the Station Hotel. Together 230 participants among all delegations came to Benidorm to participate in the tournament.

First the weigh-in took place and following that the meetings were organized for coaches and referees who had to officiate in the event the next day.

The event began on Saturday at 9.00 a.m. In the hall there were four areas of competition: three tatami mats for pattern and sparring, one of them located high on the platform and the forth ring with machines for special techniques and power tests. All competition areas were equipped with the electronics control systems and display monitors where the participants could follow all scores and results.

During the championships there were different categories of Taekwon-Do ITF competition:
Individual pattern, Team pattern, Individual sparring, Team sparring, Pre arranged sparring , Special techniques, Power tests

We give thanks to the instructors Mr. José Luis Diego and Mr. Paco Ferrando and all those who are part of the school Tae Benidorm for their work and great kindness. Their actions together with the City Council of Benidorm and the committees of the FEST made the Spain Cup a complete, unprecedented success, which was run in a very friendly atmosphere.

We also would like to thank all participating delegations of the Spanish Federation of Taekwon-Do ITF, as well as their competitors, umpires and finally to the organizing committee for their good and hard work for the preparation of this important event, especially Sabum Jose Luis Diego, Sabum John Mckissock and Master Alberto Gonzalez who were responsible for the organizing matters.

A special gratitude words go to our teachers who attended this event and by their presence honoured the championships: Master José Ramón Viudes, Master Juan Ferrando, Master Alberto González, Master Miguel Martínez and to the instructors Mr. Vicente Ibañez and Mr. Alejandro Banega for their great help.

Exactly at 1.00 pm in the presence of the Councillors in the City Council of Benidorm took place a very special and emotional event for the Spanish Taekwon-Do Federation. Master Juan Ferrando and Master Jose Ramon Viudes, who passed the grading for the 8th Degree during the last international instructor Course in Treviso, Italy, were officially granted with the certificates for 8th degrees. Master Ferrando and Master Viudes are the first 8th Degree black belt holders in Spain, therefore this occasion was a very important step in the development, which demonstrates the growth and consolidation of the Spanish Taekwon-Do Federation.
