The Irish National Taekwon-Do Association held their Summer Black Belt Tests in the Green Isle Hotel, Co. Dublin on Saturday the 7th of June. The promotions were split into two sections. The first section, which took place from 9am – 12 pm consisted of all students going forward for 1st Degree Black Belt. These students were graded under the panel of Mr. Alan Troy (Chair), Mr John Ng, Mr Gareth Curran, Mr Paul Floody and Mr Michael O’Keeffe. These students took to the floor on three separate occasions to display firstly their fundamental movements and patterns, self-defence and step sparring, secondly, their sparring and finally their theory and breaking techniques.
The senior grades were tested under the Master Panel which consisted of Master Brendan O’Toole (VIII), Master Val Douglas (VIII) and Master Gerry Martin (VII). These students followed the same format and illustrated expert skill and technique throughout each of the stages. A list of successful promotions is displayed below.

A very big congratulations to the Sheridan family from Maynooth Taekwon-Do club who had three members go forward and successful pass their grading. Dad, Jim Sheridan, was delighted to grade alongside his children. Well done to all.
