Newsletter 2/2014 VII Lulin Cup Report
On 1 June, 2014 in Lulin Sports Hall was held the VII Regional Taekwon-Do Championship for Lulun Cup. Traditionally the competition was under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia Municipality, Lulin District Mr. Milko Mladenov and was part of the initiative of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior – Young friends of Police. Official guests of the tournament were Mrs. Stela Jivkova Chief of Education Department of Sofia Municipality and Mr. Ivan Mladenov – Secretary General of Sports Association of Ministry of Interior. In this year’s competition participated 186 children (6-13 years) and juniors (14-17 years) from 26 clubs and competed in the individual disciplines of Pattern, Sparring, Special Techniques and Power Test. The availability of dynamometer allowed to the organizers to for the first time in Bulgaria to hold a power test competition for children (6-14 years) which turned to one of the most attractive disciplines.
The 35 persons Umpire team administrated the competition with BulScore – the Bulgarian Scoring system and was leaded by Mrs. Vanya Bojkova – Head Umpire of the Tournament.
