An international seminar with GM Ung Kim Lan (9th Dan) and World Champion Katya (3rd Dan) and Champion Trainer Oleg Solovey (5th Dan) was held in Hoexter, Germany on the 3rd and 4th of May. The seminar was translated into English and German by Anton Gritsen, 1. Dan, and also former World Champion.

The 2 day seminar started punctual in the Bielenberg Sports Hall in Hoexter. Apart from the 10 sports schools and clubs representing Germany, there were also guests from the Netherlands and Belgium, including athletes from several Junior and Senior national teams. Both the contribution and the expectations of the athletes were met on both days. It was a real chance to get a feeling for the training methods used in Ukraine.

Katya and Oleg Solovey are a very experienced team, and the enjoyment and fun during the exercises was in abundance. The excellent atmosphere in the hall was only enhanced with the translation and participation of Anton Gritsen, who, as a former world champion, ensured that fun was to be had during the sparring training.

During the breaks in the sparring training, Katya, Oleg and many other athletes took advantage of the presence of Grandmaster Ung Kim Lan to improve their knowledge and performance of tul. Those who know Grandmaster Lan, know that he doesn’t know how to take a break from Taekwon-Do and is always willing to share his knowledge and abilities with the athletes.
