On 12-13 April 2014 in Boris Gyuderov Sports Hall, Pernik city, Bulgaria was held the III Balkan Martial Sports Festival. Organizers of the event were Municipality of Pernik, Sports Association of Ministry of Interior, Central Police Taekwon-Do Club and Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do. The Festival was conducted under the patronage of the Mayor of Pernik Municipality Mrs. Rositsa Yanakieva. Official guest of the Tournament and leader of the delegation from Greece was Master Panagiotis Gialamas who conducted Black Belt exam on 11 April and Technical Seminar on 12 April for the Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-Do especially approved by the Technical Committee of ITF. Also were present Mr. Zvezdan Milenkovic, representing ITF Serbia and Mr. Goce Ilievski, member of GARD – FYROM.

The spectators of the opening ceremony was able to see different performances of Hip Hop dances, Karate and Kendo demonstrations and very attractive Taekwon-Do ITF demonstration, especially prepared for this Festival by Mr. Dimitar Milkin and Mr. Petko Georgiev.

The Mayor of Pernik Municipality Mrs. Rositsa Yanakieva had very special present for the organizing clubs of the Festival – full boxes with training gears for Karate Club Seiken – Pernik and Central Police Taekwon-Do Club - Pernik.

In the Taekwon-Do ITF tournament took part 185 participants from Greece, Serbia, FYROM and Bulgaria, and the Chief Umpire Mr. Orlin Hristov had at his disposal 40 Umpires during the 2 competition days, which administrated the event with BulScore – the Bulgarian scoring system.
