Newsletter 2/2014 Polish Cup and Grand Prix 2014
Two the most important events of the first part of the sport season took place in March in Poland.
The Polish Cup was held in the term 7-9 March 2014 in Ciechanów. The organizer was Mr. Michal Korzybski and the organizing club was LKS Matsogi Ciechanow. 160 senior competitors and 107 juniors from 36 schools took part in the event.

The best female competitor become Ilona Dziala from MSK Lewart AGS Lubartów. The best male competitor was Maciej Zuk from LKT Legnica.

The best junior female competitor become Monika Nyrc – LKS Lotos Jabłonna. The best junior male competitor was Jakub Gadzala – MKS Lewart AGS Lubartów.

The second event – the Polish Grand Prix took place on March 28th-30th 2014 in Rybnik (South Poland). The organizer was Mr. Rafał Poleszak and the organizing club was this time RKS Feniks-Arete Rybnik. 168 seniors and 115 juniors from 36 schools came to Rybnik to participate in the tournament.

The best female competitor became Ilona Omiecińska – LKS Matsogi Ciechanów. The best male competitor was again Maciej Zuk – LKT Legnica.

Despite the fact that there were three female junior competitors with the same number of medals, according to the rules the best competitor became Sylwia Woźniak from KKT Łódź. The best male competitor was Jakub Gadzała – MKS Lewart AGS Lubartów.

Both tournaments were the qualifiers for the Polish National Team. The selected team will take part in the Senior and Junior European Championships to be held on 24th -27th April 2014 in Riccione, Italy.
After both senior tournaments - the Polish Cup and Grand Prix - the PTA HQ will prepare the ranking of competitors who have qualified to the Polish Senior Championships to be held from 6th to 8th June 2014 in Częstochowa.
