On Friday 28th February and Saturday 1st March 2014 in Lublin, Poland took place an annual seminar for instructors and candidates for the black belt test.
The seminar was conducted by Master Jerzy Jedut – 7th Degree – the Vice-President of Polish Taekwon-do Association for technical matters. Together 30 people took part in the seminar and few more were observers. Many participants were present due to the fact that they were preparing for one of the black belt tests. Others came to Lublin to just to practice or to broaden and systematize their knowledge and revise their technical skills.

The black belt grading took place on Sunday 2nd February 2014. GM Ung Kim Lan – 9th degree was the chairman of the examination panel. He was assisted by Master Zbigniew Bujak – 7th Degree, Janusz Gutowski – 7th Degree and Mr. Zbigniew Semp – 6th Degree.
24 people entered the exam, however 19 got promoted.
It is worth mentioning that on of the promoted people was Mr. Jacek Wąchała. Currently he is the member of the PTA Board of Directors. He was former coach of Polish National Female Team in the years 2003-2005 and coach of Polish National Male Team in the years 2006-2011. He is main coach of KS Dragon Janów club. He works as a physical education teacher in one of the primary schools in Janów of which he was the principal in the years 2000-2010.

Some of junior competitors who were promoted to 1st degree are now candidates for the Junior National Team. The upcoming Polish Cup to be held from 7th to 9th March 2014 in Ciechanow in both age groups seniors and juniors will decide about the lineup of Polish Team for the upcoming European Championships 2014 in Riccione.
