Newsletter 4/2013 Mazovia Masters Cup 2013
The 7th edition of the International Tournament Mazovia Masters Cup 2013, which was held on Sunday – December 1st in Poland, was particularly festive. The reason for that was the 25th anniversary of Taekwon-Do in the city of Ciechanów.
The organizer of the event was Mr. Michal Korzybski – 5th Degree, the President and Head coach of LKS Matsogi Ciechanow school as well as the coach of Polish National Male Team.
On Saturday evening after the registration, the coaches meeting and when the draws were finished, the organizer invited all VIPs, coaches and umpires for a festive banquet with a nice birthday cake as high point of the banquet on the occasion of the 25 anniversary of Taekwon-Do in Ciechanow.
The competition started punctually at 9.00 o’clock on Sunday morning.
Year by year the competition becomes more popular. In this year there were 25 percent more competitors than in the previous edition. On the rings in Ciechanow competed on Sunday almost 200 competitors representing Taekwon-Do in Belarus, Georgia, Russia and 27 schools in Poland.
The championships were organized in three age groups: juniors, seniors and advanced seniors. And each group was additionally divided in respect of the level of advanced into group 6th – 2nd Kup and 1st Kup – 6th Degree (3rd by juniors).
The competitors had a chance to check their Taekwon-Do skills in individual pattern held in a pyramid system of elimination and in individual sparring competition which was run in also with pyramid system but with repachage round (last-chance qualifying round for the third place for those who lost in the main draw).
The best competitors in each group received the overall female or male winner’s cups:

The next, 8th edition of the International Tournament Mazovia Master Cup 2014 will take place on the 22nd November 2014 in Ciechanów.
