In the "Centre Sportif de Blocry" in Louvain-la-Neuve, the sports centre of the University of Louvain-la-Neuve UCL, ITF-Belgium had its "Day of Taekwon-Do" on Sunday April 21st.
125 participants, white, coloured and black belts, youth, juniors & seniors, were registered, 10 instructors were ready to conduct them classes from 10.00 till 16.00. We were also honoured by the visit of 2 black belts (IV° and III°degree) from Madagascar.
Participants were divided into separate groups: children up to 13 and juniors & seniors. The children were still divided into 2 groups: 10th-9th kups and 8th-5th kups, while the juniors and seniors were separated into 4 different groups: white belts, yellow-green belts, blue-red belts and black belts.
After the welcome, the presentation of the instructors and the group picture, the seminar started with warming-up and stretching, with afterwards classes in tul, sparring, hosinsul and special techniques. The day ended with a cooling-down & stretching, the distribution of the participation certificates and a warm applause for the instructors.
Classes were conducted by Annick Van Driessche (VI°degree), Virginia Dionisi (VI°degree), Patrick Crevecoeur (IV°degree), Bob Wigman (III°degree), Andreea Musca (II°degree), Nico Van Linter (II°degree) & Tom Vanderhaeghen (I°degree). Meanwhile some of the black belts present had the opportunity to learn new tuls, or to improve and correct their last tuls. These individual sessions were led by Master Frank Vanberghen (VIII°degree), Eddy Van Damme (V°degree) and Hans Rombaut (III°degree).

Next Day of Taekwon-Do will be held in September in Sint-Lievens-Houtem.
