The Black Eagle Taekwon-Do had the great pleasure to host a sparring Seminar for ITF Finland members in Tampere.

As you know the Black Eagle Taekwon-Do has Taekwon-Do "Legends" seminars regularely and this year has been really rich with Master Willy Van de Mortel from the Netherlands, Mr Mark Trotter and Carl van Roon from New Zealand and lately Mr Oleg and Miss Katya Solovey from the Ukraine.

After picking them up from Helsinki airport, Mr & Mrs Solovey were really kind to come and conduct a lesson for some Black Eagle advanced practitioners. During that 1.5h of intensive training, our members were able to have glimpse of what the weekend was going to look and mostly feel like. On the menu was speed and movement.

On Saturday the hall saw members from all around Finland waiting to see the amazing speed of Miss Solovey but mostly the pedagogical abilities of her Husband Mr Solovey. This unique Taekwon-Do couple proved to be an amazing combination of both inspiration and knowledge. The general feedback was that members were able to see the whole picture and logic that Mr Solovey had prepared for us.

Sunday was a more intensive training with more advanced movement, pad work and also sparring conditioning. The day ended with our traditional Sauna and of course dipping in the frozen lake... Mr Solovey did it...But miss Solovey proved to be a bit more reserved about the experience.

I personally am happy as I was able to get to know this amazing couple better and believe it or not but although my mother tongue in French and their's is Ukrainian, our common language was... Italian.

I thank my assistants Mr Viktor and Miss Maria Rikkonen for being our interpreters from Russian to English during the whole seminar. A great achievement.
