Ukrainian National Championship 2013

On February 16, 2013, in Kiev, was held the 7thAll- Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union Championship amog juniors aged 14-17 and adults 18-36. The aim of the competition was to promote a healthy lifestyle, the selection and formation of team to participate in the European Championship in Sweden and the World Championship in Spain. Competitions were held in two divisions that were based on age and skill level of athletes.

To take part in competitions, to Kyiv came most prepared athletes from: AR Crimea, Chernivtsi, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv region, Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Rivne.

Athletes competed of the following disciplines: sparring, traditional sparring, formal exercises (Toul), special technique and power test.

This Championship was a debut for the Chief Justice of the competitions Iryna Kuznetsova , judges category "B", 4 dan. With her high level of professionalism, coordinated efforts of the judging panel and discipline athletes competition was held at a high organizational level. In the championship dominated calm and friendly atmosphere. Athletes were able to share experiences and communicate with their friends.

Championship was a test for the students-athletes who were able to demonstrate everything they have learned during the training process from their trainers.

At these events there are all those who made ​​the choice for a healthy lifestyle. We are confident that you prefer active storts, rather than wisiting night clubs, alcohol drinks and seat at the computer traveling around the social networks. Standing on the dayang you compete primarily with yourself. You have the opportunity to test your character, strength of will and self-control. Now you get the experience of fighting in the gym, but this experience will be useful and in the adult life, when you reach your highest goals. Today, we hope to see Taekwon-Do in all its glory, as the sport combines the spiritual and physical aspects of the individual - said the president of the All-Ukrainian Taekwon-Do Union Valentin Zorbaat the opening of the event.

To the capital arrived the most prepared athletes from all over the country. The priority of the Union primarily is the improving of skills of students through a qualitative approach to the training process and objective selection of the strongest. If earlier in the nationwide competition level we considered the number of participants, then this year we prefer quality gauge preparedness of students - said the chief referee Irina Kuznetsova.

Performances were spectacular and effective! According to experts, the level of preparation of athletes was high. Winners of the competition received medals and diplomas , and their names are inscribed in the history of the Union.

Success is not always measured by step of the pedestal or the number of the obtained medals. To be worthy and purposeful person - pride of their parents and example for the friends - that's one of the indicators of success in Taekwon-Do.
