Newsletter 4/2012 6th Masters Mazovia Cup 2012 Report
There are many tournaments in the calendar of events of All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation that are held on a regular basis. One of such tournaments is Master Mazovia Taekwon-Do Cup International 2012 which took place for the 6th time in Ciechanów, within 100 km distance from Warsaw (the capitol of Poland).
The tournament organized by Mr. Michal Korzybski, 5th Degree, the coach of the Polish National Male Team, was played under honorary patronage of Mr. Waldemar Wardziński, the President of Ciechanow Ciechanow and thanks to financial support of the Municipal Office of Ciechanow, Polish Cooperative Bank in Ciechanow and SKAN Przasnysz Company.
In this year’s edition of the Masters Mazovia Cup participated 155 competitors from 24 schools from Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine and from Poland).

Competitors were divided based on the level of advancement into four following groups: senior black belts, senior colored belts, junior black belts and junior colored belts, male and female and could participate in the individual pattern, individual sparring, team sparring and pre arranged sparring. MMC was the first tournament where the sparring categories were divided into six weigh classes.

During the opening ceremony Mr. Michal Korzybski presented the authorities, sponsors, couches and umpires with the memory trophies and medals.
As in the previous edition of MMC 2011 the school KS Dragon Janów, leaded by Mr. Jacek Wachala, former coach of the Polish National Male Team and currently the member of the PTA Board, won the general classification of schools. But this year the school under the sign of Dragon won also in both age group classifications for seniors and juniors.

It is worth mentioning that all categories held on the central ring during the whole competition were broadcasted via camera on line.
The 7th Mazovia Masters Cup International 2012 will be held in Ciechanów again on 29th – 30th November 2013.
