Sunday November 18th in Lede ITF-Belgium organized another "Day of Taekwon-Do", open to all grades and ages. There were 118 participants out of 8 affiliated schools, from 10th kup up to VIII° degree.
The day started at 10.00 with warming-up and stretching, conducted by Erik Van Hoeck (I° degree).
At 10.30 participants were divided into different groups, depending on their belt, for fundamental movements and tul. European Champion Andreea Musca (II° degree)conducted the class for white belts, Annick Van Driessche (VI° degree) for yellow and green belts, Virginia Dionisi (V° degree) was the instructor for the blue and red belts, while Master Frank Vanberghen (VIII° degree) was conducting the tul class for the black belts.
The seminar continued with special techniques, from 11.30 to 12.20, conducted by Bob Wigman (III° degree). Before having lunch break there was still time for pre-arranged free sparring, by European Champions Bistra Dencheva (III° degree) and Hans Rombaut (III° degree).
The afternoon session started with sparring. The participants were divided into 2 groups, Erik Van Hoeck gave some sparring exercises to the youth members up to 12, while national coach Yves Pollefeyt (V° degree) conducted the sparring class for participants from 13 years on.
Also for hosinsul the participants were divided into age groups. Tom Vanderhaeghen (I° degree) gave some basic hosinsul techniques.
The day ended with some games and stretching, and around 17.00 all participants received a certificate.
Next "Day of Taekwon-Do" will be planned at the beginning of 2013.
