Patrick Timoney Passed Away

Mr Patrick Timoney 5th Degree

It is with great sadness, that our ITF Scotland Board member, Mr Patrick Timoney 5th Degree (Paddy) collapsed today during his 5th Degree exam and died from a suspected heart attack. A larger than life personality who could bring a smile to anyone, he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts go out to his wife Jacqui who is also a 5th degree, and 3 children at this terrible time.

Paddy was with the Scotland team coaching staff in Sweden 2010, New Zealand 2011 and with his own Glasgow students more recently at the World Cup 2012, and brought his own style of infectious team spirit with him, which on many, many occasions then and now, heightened team moral. He was a kind hearted man with a big smile and the world is now one short of it’s population who could bring laughter and smiles to the faces of others.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

RIP Paddy

Your sincerely
Master Gordon Wallace
Secretary General

Mr Patrick Joseph Timoney V Degree 1970-2012

It is with great sadness that we say our husband, father, friend and fellow Taekwon-Do'ist Mr Patrick J Timoney passed on to the next life on Sunday 11th November 2012, doing what he loved best; Taekwon-Do.

Mr Timoney affectionately known as 'Paddy' was performing Sam-Il whilst testing for his 5th Degree, surrounded by his family and friends.

Patrick was a larger than life character a generous and genuine man who had a special aura surrounding him, his outlook on life was one of the best and he could brighten up anyone's day. He had an infectious smile and a wicked sense of humour which many of us felt and heard first hand.

He was a coach and instructor to many, but most importantly he was a loving and devout family man to his wife and soulmate Jackie (V Deg) and their children Aiden, Erin and Cody.

Today we may not understand why he was taken from us too soon, but Paddy will continue to bring a smile to our faces and enrich our lives for years to come through the many wonderful memories we all hold dear in our hearts.

Our thoughts are with his family; Jackie, Aiden, Erin and Cody as well as his friends, family and all who knew him at this difficult time in their lives.

Rest in peace Patrick Timoney 5th Degree "A Husband, A Father, A Friend, A gentleman, A Legend xxx".

Taekwon!
