The ITF Umpire Course taking place in the University of Limerick, Ireland, hosted by the Irish Taekwon-Do Association is shaping up to be a great event. 100 people have already registered including participants from Ireland, England, Scotland, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Hungary.
Due to the high demand for the IUC we have now secured a second hotel, also a 4 star, at the same special rates to participants. There is also still plenty of space available in the luxury on-campus apartments.
This IUC will also cover the latest ITF Tournament rules which will be in effect from January 2013, therefore it is a great opportunity for umpires, coaches and competitors alike to update themselves and be educated on the new rules first hand from those who created them.
All those participating will receive a special goodie bag, with special free items such as IUC t-shirt, wristband and much more.
The organizing committee has also arranged special excursions for the ITF delegates attending prior to the IUC. The ITF delegates will be treated to a trip to the world famous Cliffs of Moher on the coast of Co.Clare, a unique landscape in the Burren region as well as a banquet in Knappogue Castle, built in 1467.
Several international IUC participants are taking the opportunity to extend their stay in Ireland an enjoy a holiday in the local area.
This is going to be a unique IUC as members of the ITF Technical Committee (Grandmaster Marano and Grandmaster Bos), ITF Umpire Committee (Master Katz, Master Dunbar and Mr. Ottesen) and ITF Tournament Committee (Master van den Heuvel, Master Cecconato, Master Vones) will all be in attendance. Many other famous masters and instructors from around the world are also attending. We will also be honoured at this IUC by the presence of ITF senior vice-president Master Weiler and AETF president Master Loboda.
We would encourage those attending to register by sending the registration forms asap to ITA Secretary General, Mr. Stephen Ryan, sryan@taekwondo.ie.
I hope you can join us in Ireland for this special event!
Regards,
Stephen Ryan
