91 people from 25 clubs participated in the seminar. All participants, who enrolled for the seminar, took part together in the Friday’s evening training session. On Saturday the seminar was divided in accordance with the level of advancement: black belts and color belts separately.

The venue in Wrocław, the home school of Mr. Adam Alenowicz and his school Wroclawski Sportowy Club Taekwon-do is very beneficial for practitioners as it is composed of two halls: one sport hall and one inside “patio” where people who just don’t take part in the current training sessions could practice individually. In the afternoon there were consultations where all candidates for the exam could have made last improvements.

Degree Test

This time the black belt grading was exceptionally important. Many young people took the exam, who had been appointed to the Polish Junior Team. Depending on the exam results some of them will attend the Junior European Championships 2012 in Slovenia.

Traditionally, the chairman of the panel of examiners was GM Ung Kim Lan, 9th Degree. He was assisted by Master Janusz Gutkowski, 7th Degree and Mr. Zbigniew Semp, 6th Degree. The grading was also exceptional because Master Zbigniew Bujak didn’t join the examiners team.

Due to the high number of participants the first part of the grading started already at 6.00 on Saturday evening. According to accepted rule as first candidates for 1st Degree took the exam. They were performing patterns, step sparring, self defense, free sparring and chosen foot techniques, special techniques, power tests and theory.

As planned the second part of the grading started at 8.30 on Sunday Morning, March, 18th.

Together 21 students out of 33 candidates got promotion for 1st Degree. Then was turn for the candidates for higher degrees. Five people were promoted for the 2nd Degree, six candidates for 3rd Degree and two for 4th Degree.
