On 04.03.2012 for the 5th consecutive year in the sports hall "Siconco" in Sofia was held the District Taekwon-do Championship for "Lyulin" Cup, which once again was under the patronage of the mayor of "Lyulin" district, Capital Municipality.

The event supported the "Young Friends of Police" initiative developed by the Sports Association of the Ministry of Interior. The tournament involved 140 participants aged from 7 to 35 years, who took part in the individual competitions of pattern, sparring, special technique, power test and prearranged sparring. For the first time in their competitions Bulgarian Association of Taekwon-do introduced an electronic system for sparring competition and organizational software that significantly improved the conduct of the championship.

The tournament was led by the judge panel headed by Mr. Anton Ivanov, the chief organizer Veselina Stancheva. Crowded metropolitan hall heard the salutation of the mayor of "Lyulin" district, Capital Municipality - Mr. Milko Mladenov for the good organization and conduct of the competition.
