Newsletter 1/2012 22nd Belgian Championships
Sint-Lievens-Houtem hosted the ITF Taekwon-Do Belgian Championships 2012 on February 12th. There was competition for youth (6-13), juniors (14-17), seniors (18+) and veterans (30+), coloured & black belts, in tul, teamtul, sparring, pre-arranged sparring, special techniques and power breaking. For tul black belts the league-system was used.
At the opening of the competition the national team 2012 for the EC in Slovenia was presented, and Andreea Musca, Hans Rombaut & Alex Walter were awarded for their medals on the EC and WC 2011.
More than 130 members ITF-Belgium competed, coming from different affiliated schools: Taekwon-Do Norden, Bushido, ITF Brussels, Samjok-O, ITF Brussels Champion, ITF Woluwe, Won-Hyo, Chon-ji, Taekwon-Do Club Gent, Ge-Baek & Hodori, on 4 rings.

It was a very nice day, with a good and sportive atmosphere, and some very nice performances.
Congratulations to all competitors who showed very nice technical level and thanks to all participating schools! We also would like to thank to all the referees for the good job done and a say a big thank-you to the umpire committee! A special gratitude to Hodori for hosting the event and to Patrick, Stefan and all volunteers for the smooth organization of the Championships.
