Seminar and Black Belt grading in Poland

Seminar

On 9th – 10th December 2012 in Lublin was held technical seminar conducted by Master Jerzy Jedut, 7th Dan.

In seminar participated 53 persons from 21 clubs. Students having minimum 1st cup has the right to attend. On Friday’s trending session took part all enrolled. On Saturday the seminar was divided in accordance with the level of their advancement: black belts and 1st cups. In the afternoon there were consultations where all candidate for the exam could have made last improvements.

Degree test

On Sunday, 11th December 2011 in the Sports hall in gymnasium no 2 took place the last this year black belt testing. Traditionally, the chairman of the examination panel was GM Ung Kim Lan, 9th Degree. Together with him the following examiners were estimating the candidates: Master Zbigniew Bujak, 7th Degree, Master Janusz Gutkowski, 7th Degree and Mr. Zbigniew Semp, 6th Degree.

According to accepted rule as first candidates for 1st Degree took the exam. They were performing patterns, step sparring, self defence, free sparring and chosen foot techniques, special techniques, power tests and theory. 11 persons out of 19 candidates got promotion.

Then was turn for the candidates for higher degrees. From 12 candidates for the 2nd Degree 10 were promoted, whereas there were 4 candidates for 3rd degree. Three persons passed the test.

Mr. Pawel Porebski, the President and head instructor of Cracow Taekwon-Do Academy, becoming the seventh person having 6th Degree in Poland.
