On 4th December 2011, had taken place in Fontanelle (Treviso, Italy) the first step of the "Veneto Regional Championship".

The "Veneto regional championship" is a competition managed in to two different steps: Patterns (during winter season) and Sparring (during spring season). This new formula, had met a considerable success, with the participation of 214 athletes, 17 teams and 30 referees.

The categories in competition were:

- Pulcini (Chicks): 6-7 years old

- Dragetti (Little dragons): 8-9 years old

- Speranze (Hopes): 10-11 years old

- Esordienti (Beginners): 12-13 years old

- Junior: 14-17 years old

- Senior: over 18 years old

The first four categories competition was held in the morning, Junior and Senior competition during the afternoon. Athletes had competed in the individual patterns (managed by age and belt), best athletes of category (combining age categories but maintaining belt division) and team patterns.

Next step of the "Veneto Regional Championship" (sparring) will take place on Sunday, May 27th, 2012. Then we will proclaim the Regional Champions (individual and teams) by adding patterns and sparring obtained scores.
