Newsletter 4/2011 Vth Masters Mazovia Cup 2011 report
On 26th November 2011 in Ciechanow took place the 5th Edition of Masters Mazovia Cup. The tournament was played under honorary patronage of Mr. Waldemar Wardziński, the President of Ciechanow Ciechanow and thanks to financial support of the Municipal Office of Ciechanow, Polish Cooperative Bank in Ciechanow and SKAN Przasnysz Company. .
In this year’s edition of the Masters Mazovia Cup participated 108 competitors from 16 clubs (one from Slovakia and 15 from Poland).

Competitors were divided into senior black belts, senior colour belts and juniors, male and female. They could have taken part in patterns, sparring, special techniques and team sparring in junior and senior. It is worth to mention that in accordance with the competition rules each team must have consisted from three to eight competitors and have at least one girl.
The tournament was ended by final gala, where five fights in individual sparring in senior black belts and two team sparring in senior and juniors as follows:
Individual male sparring up to 63 kg

Individual male sparring up to 71 kg
Artur Osuchowski – KS Dragon Janów vs. Kamil Raczyński - WSKT Wrocław, winner Artur Osuchowski
Individual female sparring up to 70 kg
Ilona Omiecińska - LKS Matsogi Ciechanów vs. Ewelina Zając – WSKT Wrocław, winner Ewelina Zajac
Individual male sparring up to 80 kg
Michał Rząsiński - LKS Matsogi Ciechanów vs. Piotr Olkiewicz – WSKT Wrocław, winner Piotr Olkiewicz
Individual male sparring over 80 kg
Daniel Turski – WSKT Wrocław vs. Piotr Pełka - LKS Matsogi Ciechanów, winner Piotr Pełka
In junior team sparring KS Dragon Janow I conquered LKS Victoria Działoszyn, whereas in senior team sparring the host team LKS Matsogi Ciechanów was defeated by WSKT Wrocław.
During the breaks in final bouts, audience could have watched the Taekwon-Do performance presented by children from primary school no 5 in Ciechanow.
There were also presentations of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and a military style Mu-sa-do by Marco Strauch and Volker Bergmann from Kung-Fu in Haldensleben, partner city of Ciechanow in Germany.
Mr. Norbert Eichler, the Mayor of Haldensleben and Mr. Cezary Chodkowski, Vice-President of Ciechanow were handing medals during awarding ceremony.
