The proceeds from the Taekwon-Do Annual Sponsored walk in aid of the Childrens’ Cancer fund Crumlin Hospital were presented to the hospital’s representative Gerry Culley last weekend, on Saturday November 12th.

The 10km walk took place last June 26th. Four Clare clubs from the Irish Taekwon-Do Association participated, namely Ennis (based at the Ennis National School), Quin, Barefield and Ballyea.

Most of the money was raised by the younger students. Indeed the original idea for the walk was that our healthy children would do something beneficial for those who were not as fortunate.

Mr Culley accepted €4025 on behalf of the fund and paid tribute to the instructors, students, parents and especially the children who make this event such an annual success.
