GM Ung Kim Lan in England

Session 3 - 1st Degree to 7th Degree

On Saturday 25th June ITF England invited Grandmaster Lan from Germany to Tunbridge Wells, Kent to conduct a series of seminars for members of ITF England.

150 participants from all four ITF England Associations and three participants from ITF Wales took part with the day split into three sections. The first session was from 9.30am-11.30am and was geared towards 10th Kup to 5th Kup, then after a short break a session from 11.45am-2.45pm (including a 1 hour lunch break) for 4th Kup to 1st Kup, then finally from 3.00pm-5.00pm a session just for black belts.

Session 2 - 4th Kup to 1st Kup

Grandmaster Lan agreed to this structure to enable all the students to get some quality tuition from him directly rather than have one massive group for the whole day and the lower grades not getting to even see him.

Session 1 - 10th Kup to 5th Kup

Grandmaster Lan really showed his passion in his teaching with the students aged form 10 years really connecting with his methods and very interesting ideas. The students really enjoyed the sessions with everyone asking for Grandmaster Lan to return for longer the next time.

On the Sunday Grandmaster Lan was taken on a tour of Brighton where the 2012 World Cup will be held.

ITF England would like to thank Grandmaster Lan for a fabulous series of seminars and we look forward to seeing him again in the near future.
