I'm really happy to welcome everybody this year to the 11th edition of Viking Cup International which will be held the 16th-17th of April 2011. As usual we will do every effort to make the competition at least as good as the previous years and I hope that we even can improve.

I hope that you find our competition interesting and that we will see each other in April in Sweden.

Some interesting facts about the Viking Cup competition:

• As usual the competition in sparring will be performed in the very popular pool system which means that everybody, independent of their result, is guaranteed always more than only one fight.
• There are separate groups for Juniors and Seniors in all divisions. This year also Cadets (14-12 year) and Miniors (8-11 year) can take part in the competition but only in Pattern.
• The Viking Cup 2011 will be performed on 5 rings with top quality electronic scoring system.
• Many persons have asked us about the mats which will be used during the competition. Competitors and coaches are worried that the mats will be slippery and cause difficulties to perform the fights. We would like to calm everybody down. We have our own mats since many years and they are 100% guaranteed non-slippery.
• The official Viking Cup 2011 t-shirt is already here. Everybody can make a purchase of the exclusive t-shirt during the competition.
  
• Feel the Viking Cup atmosphere and see a little movie with the action from previous editions of the competition.

• Don't miss the official Viking Cup Party! After the competition at Sunday the 17th of April a big party for all participants will be arranged. The entrance is free of charge and there will be special prices for food and drinks for everybody.
